2024 Starts on a High Note

I'm one proud singing teacher! 🎶

I had several students compete in OMEA Solo and Ensemble this past weekend, and all of them received I or Superior ratings. For those of you who aren't familiar with this type of competition. This is an adjudicated event where individual and small groups of musicians select a musical piece from a list of options, prepare it, and perform it in front of a judge. There are different levels of difficulty one can compete at, and the judge will then give ther performer/s notes and a rating. A I rating or superior rating is the highest possible score. So well done to you all who competed! I am so thrilled! 🎶

I also want to congratulate my students who most recently were cast in their upcoming spring musicals.
Dana B. will be playing Sally in Piqua High School's production of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Libby B. will be playing Morticia Addams in Bowling Green High School's production of The Addams Family. Julia B. will be the understudy for Pugsley Addams in Bowling Green High School's production of The Addams Family. 🎶

Way to go, everyone! Keep up the great work! 🎶
