A Note from Katharine

Hello all and welcome!

I'd love to tell you a little about me! I have a passion for teaching singing. I love music of all genres. However, I am truly fascinated by how the voice works and love teaching vocal health to my singers.

I received my Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Cleveland Institute of Music in 2010. I then went on to earn my Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Bowling Green State University in 2012. I took time after my graduate program to take some classes in voice science and language development. After I finished my academic pursuits, I began a family and spent a few years as a stay at home mom. In 2018, I began teaching private singing lessons again and have been building my studio ever since.

I now teach students of a wide age range with varying musical interests and goals. I've had many students win spots in elite choirs, get cast in local productions, and succeed in singing competitions. I greatly enjoy helping my students reach their goals.

Beyond what I do in my studio, I am a single mom who loves cooking from scratch, reading romance novels, watching movies, listening to podcasts, and spending time with my two daughters. I love teaching from home to be close to my kids so you may also get to meet my two Maine Coon cats, Griffin and Daisy, and our family's Standard Poodle, Winston.

Please reach out so we can chat about your goals!
